Bad Beat Jackpot Is Back!!!

We have brought back the "Bad Beat Jackpot". Winning the BBJ is easy. All you have to do is have a full house, Aces full of Tens, get beat by a bigger full house, quads, or a straight flush. You must inform the tournament director immediately, both hands must be the best combination of 5 cards, and must include both hole cards. For Aces full, one hole card must be an ace. For quads, a pair must be in the hand. Prize for the losing hand is a Bad Beat Shirt

Poker Lessons Coming This Fall!!!

Starting this fall Doc will be offering poker lessons. All lessons will have 8 players per session and will last 4 weeks. Lessons will cost $75 per person and will be on a first come, first serve basis. For more info about these lessons click here or email us at info@bigdocpoker.com

Spots In Tournaments At Canterbury Park !!!

Anyone who wins a Tournament Of Champions at any of our locations will earn a spot in any of Canterbury Parks tournaments. These tournaments are the largest tournaments in the area with a guaranteed prize pools of up to $15,000

Big Doc Poker runs free Texas Hold 'em tournaments in bars, restaurants, private clubs and other public venues in southeast Minnesota. We also run Omaha, 7 Card Stud, Draw Poker, and any other variations of poker tournaments in limit, pot limit, and no limit formats as well.

Sunday afternoons we host Texas Hold Em tournaments at Rookies Sports Grill & Bar adjacent to the Ramada Inn in Rochester. Tournaments start at 5:00. Players start with 2500 in chips and the blinds begin at 25/25

Wednesday nights we are at Costello's Pub in Stewartville for No Limit Hold em starting at 8:30. Players start with 1500 in chips and the blinds start at 10/20

Thursday nights we are back at Gorilla's Sports Grill, Bar, and Arcade in northwest Rochester at 7:00. Players start with 2500 in chips and the blinds begin at 25/25

Big Doc Poker is always looking for more locations to host Texas Hold 'em tournaments. If you are interested in hosting Texas Hold 'em tournaments in your establishment or know of a place that we should look into hosting tournaments, please contact us at info@bigdocpoker.com. We are also available for private parties and corporate events.

Our poker tournaments are 10 week seasons with a season ending Tournament Of Champions. The Tournament Of Champions is a winner takes all format, with 1st place earning a spot in a local casino tournament.

When Big Doc Poker hosts a tournament, each tournament has multiple tables in which eventually combines down to the Final Table. All participants at the Final Table receive points based upon how they finish, with 10th place receiving 1 point, 9th place receiving 2 points, and so on with 1st place receiving 10 points. The player with the most points at the end of a season without winning a tournament earns a "Wild Card" spot in the Tournament Of Champions.
