With his 4th place finish at Costello's on December 10 Doc broke the single season point total by accumulating 65 points in just 11 possible tournaments! Doc made every final table but one. Doc was also the fastest to 100 Player Of the Year Points, hitting the century mark in just 20 tournaments. Congrats Doc and keep up the good work!!!

Gorilla's Sports Bar, Grill & Arcade!!!

We are bringing the best in poker to Gorilla's in Rochester. Tournaments are Mondays and Thursdays at 7:00. We are hosting these tournaments on a trial basis, so we need your support to get these tournaments going full time!!!

Terry Quandt Memorial Tournament

January 10!!!

We are in the process of organizing a memorial tournament for our friend Terry, a dear friend we lost unexpectedly in August . The date will be January 10 at The Down Under in Stewartville. We are still working on some of the details, but the tournament will start at 5:00. Once more has been finalized we will let you know! Check back for updates!!!

Omaha Every Sunday At Costello's !!!

Starting December 14 we will be having Omaha every Sunday at Costello's. Tournaments will start at 5:00. We will use a point system and a Tournament Of Champions just like our Hold Em tournaments.

Earn More Points, Earn More Chips!!!

Players can earn more chips for the Tournament Of Champions based on their point total. Winners of any tournament will earn 100 extra chips for each point above and beyond 10 points. So if a winner has 20 points, they will 1000 more chips towards the T.O.C. Any wild card with more than 20 points will will also earn 100 extra chips for each point above and beyond 20. This rule applies at all locations.

Anyone who wins a Tournament Of Champions at any of our locations will earn a spot in any of Canterbury Parks tournaments. These tournaments are the largest tournaments in the area. The scheduled payouts for 132 players is as follows:

Big Doc Poker runs free Texas Hold 'em tournaments in bars, restaurants, private clubs and other public venues in southeast Minnesota. We also run Omaha, 7 Card Stud, Draw Poker, and any other variations of poker tournaments in limit, pot limit, and no limit formats as well.

Sunday afternoons we are hosting Texas Hold Em tournaments at Rookies Sports Grill & Bar adjacent to the Ramada Inn. Tournaments start at 3:00. Players start with 2500 in chips and the blinds begin at 25/25

Wednesday nights we are back at Costello's Pub in Stewartville for No Limit Hold em starting at 8:30. There is one tournament per evening. Players start with 1500 in chips and the blinds start at 10/20

Big Doc Poker is always looking for more locations to host Texas Hold 'em tournaments. Our poker tournaments are 10 week seasons with a season ending Tournament Of Champions. The Tournament Of Champions is a winner takes all format, with 1st place earning a spot in a local casino tournament.

When Big Doc Poker hosts a tournament, each tournament has multiple tables in which eventually combines down to the Final Table. All participants at the Final Table receive points based upon how they finish, with 10th place receiving 1 point, 9th place receiving 2 points, and so on with 1st place receiving 10 points. The player with the most points at the end of a season without winning a tournament earns a "Wild Card" spot in the Tournament Of Champions.
